About the CEO
Mr. William Dumenya brings over two decades of experience in the tourism and hospitality industry. His professional journey spans key areas including hospitality finance, business strategy development, and general administration.
He is a Chartered Accountant (ICA Ghana) and holds an Executive MBA in Finance from the University of Ghana Business School, Legon. He is also a proud alumnus of the University of Cape Coast, where he earned a Bachelor of Commerce degree.
Mr. Dumenya’s extensive exposure to the sector’s opportunities and challenges inspired him to establish the Tourism Chamber, Ghana. His vision is to unite industry players, advocate for progressive tourism policies, and drive sustainable investment through collaboration and innovation.
Deeply attuned to the challenges facing the hospitality and tourism sectors, Mr. Dumenya is committed to leveraging the Chamber as a platform for collective problem-solving and growth.

Dr. Kenneth Obeng
Board ChairmanDr Obeng is a private consultant and an entrepreneur. He is a distinguished Chartered Accountant (ICAG), Chartered Banker (ACIB), Certified Auditor (AIIA), and holds LLB from GIMPA Law school. He holds Doctorate in Accounting (Hawaii State, USA), Post Graduate in Investment and Risk Mgt (Queen Univ, Canada), Post Graduate in Public-Private Partnership (RIPA Int, Uk), MBA Finance GIMPA and BSc Adm (Accounting)Legon.
Dr. Obeng has built a remarkable career as a Finance Specialist with the Volta River Authority. With extensive expertise in business strategy development and hospitality finance, he is also a seasoned entrepreneur. He currently serves on several corporate boards, including the Education Sub-Committee of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, and a member of the Research and publication sub-Committee of the Board of Institute of Internal Auditors Ghana, where his wealth of knowledge in governance and financial management continues to make a significant impact.
Rev. John Mawuli Akegie
Board MemberRev. Akegie is a Reverend Minister of the Gospel with the Global Evangelical Church. Beyond ministry, he is a social entrepreneur, business strategist, and management development professional. He brings to the board a unique blend of leadership, administrative skills, and a passion for nature and community development, ensuring that organizational growth is aligned with ethical and social values.
Mrs. Millicent Sunu
Board Member & SecretaryMrs. Sunu is an educationist and social entrepreneur with rich experience in hospitality management. Her background equips her with strong insights into people development, service excellence, and business sustainability, which she contributes to the governance of the organization.
Mr. Felix Mozerawa Akpalu
Board MemberA Chartered Accountant and tax expert, Mr. Akpalu is the Managing Partner of SKH & Associates Chartered Accountants. With extensive experience in development finance, he has managed social projects valued at over US$20 million. His expertise spans tax advisory services, hospitality, and business strategy, all of which strengthen the board’s financial and strategic capacity.
